Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said this is the dawn of the New Republic in Albania. Basha spoke to media reporters after the end of the 1-hour protest of the opposition in the whole country, where protesters blocked the roads peacefully and without any incidents.

The Democrat leader added the Albanians are determined not to consign their country to crime and drugs.

“Dear citizens of the New Republic that is beginning to dawn, thousands Albanians joined today in peace to show our determination not to consign Albania to crime and drugs; not to consign our freedom to tyranny and corruption in power; to show our determination to unite for free and fair elections with a technical government that would implement the Law of Decriminalization and would guarantee the electronic vote”, Basha said.

“This is a warning that the determination of this popular movement for free and fair elections is unbreakable”.
