Silva Daja, candidate for the Municipality of Kavaja and wife of PS Kavaja branch chairman Gentian Daja, has announced she will resign from the race to replace dismissed Mayor Elvis Rroshi.
Daja wrote there was too much smoke around after the executive of Kavaja’s PS branch nominated her as candidate for the Municipality chair.
The Democratic Party has decided to boycott any elections unless Premier Edi Rama resigns, while the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) has decided not to take part in the race for the Mayor, reminding that they were against Elvis Rroshi’s candidature and PS did not consult with its ally either at that time or today, for the partial elections.
“Recently I have seen too much smoke about my candidature for the Municipality of Kavaja, the city I was born, built my family and where I will live my life”, Daja wrote on her Facebook page.
“Despite I never harmed anyone in my life and would give my best in this process, the ado exceeded any imagination and prediction, attacking my husband, who is much worth than a chair to me”.
“For this reason, I regretfully decided to renounce the candidature and show the tolerance that characterized me during my entire life”.
