The Socialist Movement for Integration will not take part in the elections for the Municipality of Kavaja.
Credible sources within LSI told the “Koha Jonë” newspaper Ilir Meta’s party will not register in the Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) for the elections of May 7 and will not participate in any electoral campaign with any of the involved parties.
LSI objected dismissed Mayor Elvis Rroshi’s candidature in the last elections, while the current candidate has been selected unilaterally from the Socialist party.
US Ambassador Donald Lu also called on the Socialist Party and Premier Edi Rama not to candidate Rroshi.
