Where did the 1300 containers full of urban and industrial waste go? Did they reach their destionation, Macedonia, or were they buried in Albania?
After requesting a parliamentary investigation on the scandal that has involved Italy, Albania and Macedonia, Italian MP Riccardo Nuti has asked information from Albanian government as well.
The member of the Anti-Mafia Committee in the Italian parliament has written three official letters, one of them addressed to the Albanian Embassy in Rome.
“I would like to know more related to the containers disappeared in Albania and for that reason I have written to Albanian Ambassador in Rome Ms. Anila Bitri Lani, Macedonian Ambassador Mr. Oliver Shambeveski and Prefect of Frosinone Ms. Emilia Zarrilli”, Nuti says.
