Former Democrat Speaker Jozefina Topalli said today the PD deputies and she are not happy with the parliament boycott, but they are forced to do say because the country is not in normal circumstances. Topalli’s statement was a response to MEP Knut Fleckenstein, who said that PD may protest, but should not boycott the commissions, Parliament and the Vetting process.

Topalli also replied to Fleckenstein’s criticism to Berisha in relation with the Soros case. “I believe we live in freedom and no one can tell anyone what they must say”, the Democrat deputy said, reminding the communist regime of Enver Hoxha, which prohibited the free speech.

“I understand the politicians should normally be in the parliament. In normal circumstances, yes; but we are not in normal circumstances and I do not like it. It is undesirable by all deputies, but can we pretend nothing is happening in Albania, when serial killers or gangs like “Revenge for justice” are set free? This is a situation one feels the need to scream, but now it is not the moment to scream, but to protest”, Topalli said.
