After two weeks from the phone call between Prime minister Rama and his homologue in Greece Aleksis Tsipras, the “Kathimerini Daily” has transcripted the content and the strong talk conversation they had.

The day of the 22nd of November was a day of tension for the Greek Prime Minister after the talk with his homologue in Albania. Trusted sources near the government told to the daily that Edi Rama has approached in high and aggressive notes the Greek Prime Minister Aleksis Tsipras, asking him for explanation on the withhold of two members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Albania administration. They were caught in Kakavija transporting school text books that according to the Court of Gioanina were filled with propaganda.

Kathimerini writes that Tsipras was not impressed by the high notes of the voice of Edi Rama and reacted also with agresivity by telling the Albanian Prime Minister that it’s unimaginable that diplomats, that clearly had a political mandate to undermine the relations between both countries to transport textbooks for pupils, with the purpose of converting them into irredentists.

According to “Kathimerini” the call has also a strong diplomatic background that initiated in Brussels before the declaration of the annual report of the European Commission on Albania, that recommended the starting of the negotiations for the EU membership.

“Kathimerini” says that Greece found itself in front of the strong resistance of Italy and Austria, in order to not include in the progress report issues concerning the Greek minority.

The daily further explains that after this situation the Greek Prime Minister Tsipras has planned beginning January a visit to Belgrade for strengthening the alliances in the region, because according to him, Serbia is also facing problems with the Albanian nationalism.
