The Speaker of Parliament Gramoz Ruçi did not allow the head of the Democrat parliamentary group Edmond Spaho to speak about the extradition of Nezar Seiti, the financier of a criminal organization, to Italy, making the opposition deputies stand up and surround the platform, while Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha exploded with the words “thief, criminal” addressed to Ruçi.
Basha’s harsh reaction came after the Speaker addressed him with some hard words as well.
“I warn you, do not act like a thug; be the opposition leader. Don’t touch the Guard members”, Ruçi told Basha.
The Speaker said Seiti’s case is out of the agenda and, facing the opposition’s protest in front of the platform, ordered the interruption of the session.
It resumed a few minutes later, but the opposition did not allow it to proceed, prompting Ruçi to warn the opposition deputies he would expel them from the session.
"This is your last warning”, Ruçi said.
