The Albanian parliament will have a debates session over Albania’s vote in favor of the UN Resolution on Jerusalem, requested by the Democratic Party. The debate will take place on February 8, according to the decision of the Conference of Chairpersons, summoned today by the parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruçi.

The Democratic Party judges the Albanian government acted against the interests of the country by voting pro the UN Resolution and against the US President Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israeli capital and relocate the US Embassy there.

The Albanian government acted without prior consultation with the parliament, President of the Republic and the Commission for Foreign Affairs. For all these reasons, the Democrats have presented the motion that requests a revision of the Albanian vote and the government to declare a non-approval position to the UN Resolution of December 21, 2017.
