The deputy of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, has consigned extra evidence proving that the former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri had close relations with the criminal organization of the Habilaj brothers, who are his relatives, which smuggled drugs from Albania to Italy.

Alibeaj, who delivered a document obtained from the Italian authorities at the Prosecution for Serious Crimes, told media reporters the document proves the continuous collaboration of Tahiri with one of Habilajs, an important member of the gang.

"Tahiri lied when he said he had nothing to do with Habilajs, because the document proves they did have relations. The meetings of Tahiri with Habilajs have continued beyond the period that has been discussed in the Council of Mandates. The documents show he lied”, Alibeaj said.

“They also show PM Rama’s maximal efforts to obstruct the investigation. I am here to encourage the investigation, for the Prosecution to verify and watch the facts with priority”.
