Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said today the dismissal of Haki Çako, Director General of State Police, was long-overdue. Basha learnt the news by the media reporters while he was making a statement after a meeting with his allies.

"If it is true, it’s a long-overdue step, another indicator of the deep crisis the criminality plunged the institution of police. However, Çako is just a scapegoat, because he is led by Rama, Tahiri and Xhafaj, whose connections (to crime) are known”, Basha told reporters.
