Five other members of the Albanian parliament risk losing their mandates, after the Central Electoral Commission (KQZ) removed the mandates of two deputies yesterday.

Berat’s deputy Gledion Rehovica Elbasan’s Aqif Rakipi saw their mandates removed after KQZ decided to accept Prosecution Office’s request.

Sources from the Prosecution Office told the newspaper “Koha Jonë” five other deputies are under investigation over their past records.

“Sources from the Prosecution said they are waiting for official information from EU countries on five other deputies”, the newspaper writes today.
