Albanian President Ilir Meta received a phone call by Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos today, with the latter thanking Meta for giving the Albanian citizenship to Archbishop Anastasios Yannoulatos.

President Meta’s spokesman Tedi Blushi told Syri.net Mr. Pavlopoulos highlighted that Meta’s decree is an important step towards the improvement of the Greek-Albanian relations.

Yesterday, Greek Foreign Minister Niko Kotzias called President Meta to think him for his decree on Archbishop Anastasios’ Albanian citizenship.
