Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha declared the head of the Socialist parliamentary group Taulant Balla is under investigation under money laundering.

"Out of all people you could choose to make your next storm in the glass, aiming to escape from questions you cannot answer to about Saimir Tahiri, Habilajs, your Interior Minister’s brother, for the €200 million worth offshore accounts the OSCE has denounced you, you chose this one”, Basha addressed to Premier Edi Rama.

“You don’t know or don’t want to know this one (Balla) has fallen in the net of money laundering for years and neither the parliamentary immunity nor speeches on this stand can protect him any longer”.
