Former Premier Sali Berisha called for a revolution today, following a study from the Skopje-based Institute for Democracy, reporting about 20% of the votes stolen, which was "enough to alter the score”. The former leader of the Democratic Party said this report was a call for a democratic revolution.
"The democracy in Albania is dead, its heart, the free vote, has stopped beating”, Berisha posted in his Facebook page today.
“This study is a call for all Albanians to rise with courage and determination in a democratic revolution to overthrow the clique that eliminated the free vote in Albania”.
