Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha said Albania is among top three countries in the world where crime launders its dirty money.

Responding to PM Edi Rama’s statements today, the Democrat leader said there is no foreign investment in Albania for the last four years.

“In March 2017, the US Department of State put Albania in the black list of the main countries laundering money, officially called the list of Major Money Laundering Countries. It’s the first time Albania makes it in this list that is updated every year”, Basha said.

“For four years Rama invited Albanians to laugh at the accusations that cannabis was cultivated in Albania and drugs were trafficked. Edi Rama told Albanians to laugh at the opposition which mistook the mosquitoes for airplanes. Edi Rama sat with farmers and asked them jokingly about cannabis. Edi Rama told Albanians to laugh at the opposition’s accusations that Saimir Tahiri was a trafficker”, Basha said.

“Last time we heard Rama inviting us to laugh Albania transformed into drugs storage and crime’s free zone. Now he’s inviting us to laugh once more. As a matter of fact, it’s time to worry and say stop to Edi Rama and crime in politics and economy”.
