The Democratic Party is convinced former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri must be arrested and his immunity is serving only to protect his accomplice, with Premier Edi Rama among them.

"Our unchanged request, which is supported by the whole Western world, is for Edi Rama not to pressure on the Prosecution and not to use the parliamentary immunity to protect Tahiri from the rightful requests of the Prosecution”, Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha told media reporters today.

“Saimir Tahiri must be arrested. The use of the parliamentary immunity to protect Saimir Tahiri is only to protect him and his accomplice, Edi Rama included”.
