Democrat Deputy Enkelejd Alibeaj said the majority’s vote against the request of the Prosecution for Serious Crimes for the removal of Saimir Tahiri’s immunity was actually a moral test for the Premier Edi Rama, which, according to Alibeaj, was the real loser of the voting.

"Today it was a test that has nothing to do with the removal of some immunity. It was a triple moral test for Tahiri, a flag-bearer of moral and transparence, which he had the possibility to make today, but lost it, along with his political career and 4-5 years of political experience he had in this Parliament”, Alibeaj said.

“This was a moral test for Rama, which took Tahiri under his armpit from the very first moment. Who won and who lost? Sure is Rama lost today, besides the anxieties and nightmares that have seized him these days and that will last; it was a moral test for the deputies. You put the biggest spots on your political careers today and it’s a sure thing you won’t be able to remove it”.
