The Albanian parliament will vote today for the request of the Prosecution for Serious Crimes to remove deputy Saimir Tahiri’s immunity. The former Interior Minister is under investigation over drugs traffic charges, following the arrest of his kin Moisi Habilaj in Italy.

Before the vote, Tahiri addressed to his fellow deputies.

"This hall has listened to many people’s vows and pledges. No one has time to waste. I don’t have why to expect my right here in the parliament hall, but there where I am supposed to, at justice. I will welcome any decision you take, my efforts for justice will not stop here”, Tahiri said to the deputies today.
