The Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) has declared its vote pro lifting the immunity of deputy Saimir Tahiri, asked by the Prosecution for Serious Crimes, which is investigating Tahiri over charges for implication on drugs traffic. LSI also declared the support for the Democratic Party’s decision to boycott all the parliamentary committees.

LSI’s decision was announced by deputy chairman Luan Rama in a media conference, where he underlined this is not an individual case, but a structured criminal group that has seized the government with its tentacles.

"We will vote pro the request of the Prosecution, in order to make way for any action that serves to penal proceedings and revealing the truth about the activity of this structured criminal group”, Luan Rama said.

“The LSI group supports the decision of the opposition to boycott the parliamentary committees, with the exception of a very sensitive meeting of the Health Committee, where group chairman Petrit Vasili will participate”.
