New details have become public related to the quantity of over four tons of cannabis sativa seized by the Italian police and Guardia Di Finanza. Sources from the investigative group told Syri.net the narcotic plants were loaded in an area between Lezhë and Shkodër.
The yacht bearing a US flag did not enter the Albanian territorial waters, but the drugs were transported there with a dinghy boat.
SYRI.net has understood the Italian police have not given detailed information to the Albanian police in relation with the full identity of the three persons arrested aboard the yacht, along with 4.3 tons of cannabis.
