The District of Vlora had the highest rate of criminality in Albania in 2016, followed by Gjirokastra, according to the annual report, presented to the Parliament by the General Prosecution Office.
Përmet results to be the safest place, whereas the district of Kukës has seen a 14% increase of the criminality for the last year.
The criminality coefficient of 2016 for the criminal proceedings per 100.000 inhabitants is 1088, showing a small decline from 2015, when it was 1122.
