After issuing an international arrest warrant for one of the suspected burglars, Albanian police have found an amount of money which is suspected to a part of the money stolen in the Rinas airport runway.

50 thousand Euros were found in Elbasan, in the place of one of the familiars of Aleks Pepa, declared wanted. The police suspect the money is part of that stolen in Rinas and their suspicions have become stronger by the fact that money was hidden in a refrigerator.

Pepa is the main suspect for the robbery in the airport of Rinas.

At the time, at least three masked persons cut the surrounding fence and entered in the runway area, where, at gunpoint, they took the money that was to be transported aboard.

The police operation has been held secret and it’s talking place under the direction of Deputy General Director of State Police Ardian Çipa.
