The Tribunal of Kurbin has declared not guilty former Socialist Deputy Armando Prenga, accused of “forgetting” to declare a penalty sentence in the decriminalization form.

The General Prosecution announced in February 2017 that from the verification of data in and out the country, the MP Prenga resulted to have not declared criminal precedents in Italy for the years 1996-97 and also a sentence of the Tribunal of Kurbin that sentenced him with a penalty for documents forgery.

Based on the data, the Prosecution Office declared Prenga was “in the conditions of being banned from exercising the function, based on the law for the verification of the integrity of the personas that are elected, appointed or perform public functions”.

However, the Central Electoral Commission rejected the Prosecution’s request for the removal of Prenga’s mandate, asking for additional information.
