The Prosecution for Serious Crimes will verify former Interior Minister Saimir Tahiri’s wealth, sending requests to several institutions and banks. Tahiri is under investigation over charges for drug trafficking, following the arrest of his cousin in Catania, Italy.

The Prosecution has asked for detailed information from the banks of second level and from the offices of property registrations to obtain a list of immovable properties in Tahiri’s and his family’s possession.

The same request for detailed information has been sent to the directorate of the road transport for the vehicles that figure in the name of the former minister.
